Geraldine Juarez

Læs Michael Jeppesens flotte anmeldelse i Information.

Geraldine Juarez er tidligere forskningsstipendiat ved Eyebeam Center for Art and Technology i New York.

”My work aim to understand the spaces that emerge when information and property collide, with a special focus on the disruption that low and open technologies, fringe economies and copy cultures offer to distribute power. I am a member of Free Art and Technology Lab and also collaborate in assemblages focused on communication and infrastructure like Telecomix and Forays. I research and blog about the endless tension between intellectual property law and the culture of copy. I have been resident artist at inCUBATE in Chicago, Timelab in Belgium and JA.Ca in Brazil (2010) and been one of the recipients of the Makers Muse Award 2011 of the Kindle Project. My work has been shown internationally at collective exhibitions and i have held workshops in Europe and the US, mostly.”
