FAIR artist in residence Olli Keränen / “Satellite No. 1”  

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to attend “Satellite No. 1” - an exhibition by FAIR artist in residence at Fabrikken / the Factory of Art and Design, Olli Keränen (FI).   For this exhibition, Olli Keränen has chosen to work with the building in which he has been working during his residency, and his installation is shown in the large central production hall.  
Keränen’s installation references the previous use of the Fabrikken building as well as the personal and professional history of its architect Poul Holsøe. Originally, the building was used to house the central laundry facility for the Sundholm hospital area.

The name of the exhibition, “Satellite No.1” derives from the fictive documentary of the same name in which Holsøe’s former assistant and friend narrates the story of his friends’ life. The video offers a viewpoint on how to look at the structures of the accompanying installation. From May 20th to 22nd, the exhibition will be open daily from 10am to 4pm. Welcome!
